About Fayetteville Mulching

Fayetteville Mulching is a locally owned land clearing outfit working rural ground around Fayetteville, Arkansas. We grind standing brush and small timber, clear land, take cedar and understory off pasture, open fence lines, prep building lots and driveways, cut trails and food plots on hunting property, rough mow grown up fields, and grind stumps. One owner-operator runs the machine. The man who prices your job is the man who sits in the seat.

Cedar is the reason most people call. It came out of the glades and into the fields once fire stopped running these hills, and it does not stop on its own. The good news sits in the biology. Cut a cedar at the ground and it is finished, because it will not sprout again from that stump. One pass buys years. What returns is blackberry, locust, and multiflora rose, and a rough cut handles those on a maintenance pass. We say this before we quote, not after.

The tool decides the result. We run a carbide toothed drum head on a high-flow tracked carrier, and it turns a standing stem into chip without picking anything up. Wide rubber tracks spread the weight so the machine crosses soft ground instead of digging into it. A blade cannot work that way. It has to shove the tree over at the roots and take your topsoil with it, and the field ends up with a pile on one side and a hole at every stump.

Terrain here changes in about ten miles. North and west of town the plateau rolls, and the ground is pasture, hay, and oak hickory woods. South at Greenland and West Fork the Boston Mountains start, with narrow hollows and slopes steep enough that carrier choice stops being an opinion. East through Goshen into Madison County it is cattle, poultry houses, and hunting ground on rough country. A tracked machine handles all of it.

We hold Arkansas licensing and insurance on every job. We also turn work down. Big timber belongs to a timber buyer who pays you. A grubbed building pad belongs to an excavating contractor. Surface rock belongs to nobody. Saying that costs us a job now and then, and it beats billing you for something a mulching head cannot deliver.
